Weight Loss Information
Eat too much and you will get fat. That
much everybody knows, but have you every wondered why you eat too much?
Weight Loss is on the minds of millions every day.
To understand why weight loss is so
difficult to achieve you need to understand why your body accumulates
extra weight in the form of fat. Every Body contains its own weight loss
mechanism. Losing weight can be simple and painless once you know how to
turn your mechanism on. You may be surprised to learn it's not what you
eat but what you don't eat that is behind your weight loss problems.
Before you begin another diet or weight loss program, see if you don't
agree with us. If you are concerned about weight loss, the chances are
very great you have never had access to this information before.
Obesity
It may be hard to think of overweight
people as being undernourished but think about it. Our bodies
require all of the essential elements to go about their business
of building, maintaining and restoring themselves. When the food you eat
doesn't contain enough of the elemental building blocks, your body signals
your brain to tell you to eat more. It is quite natural for you to
willingly oblige and when you do it is quite natural for your body to
store those extra calories as fat. If your body was getting everything it
needed it wouldn't be hungry and if it wasn't hungry you wouldn't be fat.
Sound simple, it is! Weight control is a natural function of your body.
Simply give it what it needs and it will respond. Let’s play Sherlock
Holmes for a few minutes, let’s begin at the beginning and follow the
deductive reasoning that illustrates these simple facts.
- First Fact: Your body is a self replicating
machine, it continuously replaces worn or damaged parts.
- Second Fact: Your body must have daily supply of
essential elements in order to perform the critical tasks of
maintaining, rebuilding and replacing itself.
- Third Fact: The food you eat contains only
minimal amounts and sometimes none of most of the essential elements
your body needs.
- Fourth Fact: When you don’t get the nutrients you
need, your brain signals you to eat.
- Fifth Fact: When you eat more calories than your
body can burn, many are stored for later use as fat.
Looking at the facts in a logical sequence
demonstrates why you are compelled to eat more calories than you use. To
further illustrate this point, it is helpful look at food for what it
does:
- Fuel: Food is the fuel your body needs to keep
your motor running. Your body chemically converts a large portion of the
food you eat into energy. The energy producing portions of the food you
eat are either burned, stored as fat, or disposed of. Bodies are very
efficient machines. They will store as much excess energy as they can to
guard against running out of fuel. When your car runs out of fuel you
can just park it until you get some more, but if your body runs out of
fuel you die. Don’t hate your body for the functions that keep you
alive!
- Building Blocks: Food provides the building
blocks you need in the form of phytogenic chemical compounds. There is
little question that it is best to get the nutrients your body needs
from food because your body was designed to use essential elements
arranged by biological mechanisms. Unlike plants, your body can’t
effectively use elements that come directly from the soil.
The following graphic tells you what you are made
of:
The chart below the pyramid illustrates what is
actually in the food we eat. It has been known for a long time that
essential elements were not in our foods but before now there was little
that could be done about it.

According to
Senate Document 264
Americans have been
suffering from malnutrition for at least 64 years! |
Below is the Governments Food
Pyramid. It is supposed to represent the perfect diet. So what's
wrong with this picture?
 |
1.
Commercial Growers remove minerals from the soil each time they
harvest a crop.
2. Minerals are lost naturally
through erosion.
3. Only a few minerals necessary
to produce attractive plants and high yields are replaced.
Usually only two or three.
4. Plants are hybrid and
selected for their appearance and ability to produce high yields
economically, not for their nutritional value. |
If the minerals critical to health
aren't in the soil, how can they be in the crops? The obvious answer
is, they aren't. To prove our conclusions we went shopping. We
purchased all of the fresh fruits and vegetables in the pyramid, put
them in a blender and then took them to a commercial laboratory for
analysis. The following chart shows what we found.
1. Many essential elements are not there at
all.
2. Of the ones that are there you would have
to eat a rather large amount to get your minimum requirement.
For instance:
9.9 Pounds to get a minimum daily
requirement of iron
12.57 Pounds for Calcium
8.8 Pounds for Zinc
6.94 Pounds for Phosphorus
4.4 Pounds for Copper
